We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join our IT Collaboration team. This role is critical in supporting and evolving our enterprise collaboration and identity infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory (on-premises), Microsoft Identity Manager, and Teams Calling with Direct Routing and SBCs. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader, capable of driving solutions, mentoring team members, and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments, with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and architecture.
  • Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM).
  • Experience with Teams Direct Routing and SBCs.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell and automation tools.
  • Experience with AI technologies such as CoPilot and ChatGPT.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Ownership & Engineering
  • Architect, implement, and maintain solutions across Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.)
  • Manage and optimize Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory environments.
  • Administer and enhance Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) for identity lifecycle and synchronization.
  • Support and maintain Teams Calling infrastructure, including Direct Routing and Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  • Respond to and resolve escalated incidents and service requests via ServiceNow.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure identity and collaboration platforms meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement conditional access, MFA, and other identity protection mechanisms.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and escalation point for junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Networking, Security, and Application Development.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and projects related to collaboration and identity.
