Raytheon’s Advanced Airborne Radio Frequency department has an immediate opening for a Principal Systems Engineer who is committed and passionate about creating innovative and cost-effective EW solutions to support the Electronic Warfare business area relating to Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capability development.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of EW/Radar systems design and requirements engineering experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and data for reports and presentations
  • Modeling and Simulation, agile DevSecOps delivery pipelines, software development principals, Digital Thread concepts and realization in the development lifecycle.
  • Matlab/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Support firmware development and integration for Electronic Systems (ES) and Electronic Assemblies (EA) performance
  • Lead government EW performance testing
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all firmware development and debugging activities for Electronic Assemblies (EA)
  • Determine what the requirements should be for a product or system based on information from the customer and provide traceability for these requirements
  • Capture requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
