About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Systems and Integration Engineer (SE&I), providing enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. This position manages moderately sized projects or processes with minimal oversight and provides measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices. Location: Near Springfield, Virginia The Principal Systems Engineer provides systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through system transition. Problems and issues faced can fluctuate and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem and determine the appropriate resolution. This position communicates with many levels of program, other contractor and government stakeholders and works to positively guide parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices. A key purpose of this position is to manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout and test of operational system modifications and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with systems installation, integration, and test experience.
  • Experience with engineering technical and project management.
  • Experience with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor.)
  • Experience in enterprise level planning and implementation.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced with Customer NSIS and/or rapid delivery methods.
  • Customer relationships.
  • Experience working across contract and location boundaries.
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence beneficial.
