About The Position

GliaCell is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

Requirements

  • Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical direction for an Agile development team.
  • Demonstrated ability to write system engineering documentation and be able to deliver technical presentations to large audiences
  • Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short- and long-term requirements
  • Candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, thorough, self-motivated, proactive and outgoing
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse workforce and excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Experience organizing and facilitating Sprint Planning using tools such as Jira and Confluence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/knowledge of Feature Mapping is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing user requirements, drafting engineering documents.
  • Lead system requirements analysis, design, and development activities; guide users in requirements formulation; provide recommendations on alternative technical approaches; and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • This role serves as the primary technical authority for integrating requirements, design, and technology.
  • Guiding system development and implementation planning.
  • Engaging directly with customers to address technical considerations, resolve issues, and manage potential conflicts.
  • Communicating effectively with program personnel, customer stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for ensuring the technical integrity of all systems engineering work products and deliverables.
  • Working within an agile development environment to implement features defined by user stories.
  • Duties will include: engineering, integration and testing of all components of systems to include requirements analysis and functional allocation, conducting requirement reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessments
