The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center seeks a Principal Systems Engineer. You will apply your experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to the planning, integration, test, and activation of Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) systems for the Zumwalt DDG 1000 Class platform. You will be responsible for coordinating activities with internal teams, government and contract personnel

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Zumwalt platform and/or Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE).
  • Experience with Navy Technical documentation.
  • Experience with Python.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TSCE Software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with DDG1000 external communication systems.
  • AGILE/Scrum experience.
  • Experience working directly with a military customer /end user.

Responsibilities

  • Perform coordination between multiple teams to create software deployment artifacts, create installation packages, maintain systems, and conduct troubleshooting.
  • Develop software deployment automation and artifacts required for multi-site deployments.
  • Manage internal testing events between hardware, software, and cyber teams.
  • Develop technical documentation for each phase of systems lifecycles.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting and problem resolution.
