Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Spacecraft Systems Engineer to support programs in Dulles, VA. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field + 5 years of experience.
  • Aerospace and Defense hardware integration and test experience.
  • Programming skills (Tcl, Python, Matlab, STOL, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 3 years of Space Vehicle Integration and Test or Operations.
  • Small team leadership experience.
  • Customer interaction / briefing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the smooth, expedient compilation of Space Vehicle level requirements gathered from testing throughout the environmental test campaign.
  • Testing and operation of a complex space payload during the SV level I&T campaign requiring completing a training program and supporting testing on several shifts.
  • Act as technical lead for root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigation into test failures.
  • Working with existing SE team to look for test flow efficiencies.
  • Completing data analysis of test results to compile into verification test reports.
  • Utilizing available resources and cross-functional team input to drive efficiency in Environmental Testing and Test Report Generation using software automation.
  • Implementing updates and configuration management of test software (Tcl, Python, MATLAB).
  • Providing support for triage, root cause analysis, resolution efforts, and presentation to the cross-functional team.
  • Leading SV AI&T electrical testing as the Integration and Test systems representative.
