As a Systems Engineer, your mission is to lead the planning, development, integration, and technical oversight of complex systems throughout their lifecycle. You will translate user needs into system requirements, guide design and architecture decisions, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain the technical integrity of all system components. Your work will directly enable mission success by delivering reliable, efficient, and secure systems.

  • Analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
  • Leading design, development, and integration activities across multiple disciplines
  • Developing system architecture, design documentation, and interface control documents
  • Allocating functional requirements to hardware, software, personnel, and facilities
  • Participating in design reviews, CCB meetings, and program reviews to resolve cross-discipline issues
  • Conducting risk assessments, quantitative analyses, and trade studies to optimize system performance
  • Maintaining and updating system baselines and configuration documentation throughout the lifecycle
  • Communicating technical considerations and recommendations to government stakeholders, contractors, and executives
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • 20+ years of systems engineering experience on complex programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or 5 additional years of SE experience in lieu of degree)
  • Proven experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
  • Expertise in system requirements management, architecture, design, integration, and verification
  • Ability to produce and review high-quality technical documentation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders
  • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions and operational/technical/system services views
  • Experience with JCIDS documentation and certification/accreditation processes
  • Expertise in alternative system concept development, lifecycle cost analysis, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Familiarity with modeling, simulation, and prototyping for risk reduction
  • Knowledge of current and evolving national and international engineering standards
