About the position

The Principal Systems Engineer with an RF focus at Lightridge Solutions Trident Systems will lead a diverse engineering team in developing advanced multi-function RF systems for space applications. This role involves end-to-end system analysis, design, and implementation, ensuring successful program execution within cost and schedule constraints. The engineer will act as the technical representative, oversee program planning, and ensure proper systems analysis and requirements verification are completed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse engineering team in the development of advanced multi-function RF systems for space applications.
  • Perform end-to-end system analysis, link budget development, simulation, design, and implementation of complex RF systems.
  • Collaborate with program management to lead program execution within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Act as the program technical representative and point of contact.
  • Oversee engineering program planning and execution, assigning appropriate staff to projects.
  • Interact with program manager and divisional leadership to ensure program success.
  • Own the engineering development process, ensuring proper systems analysis and trades are completed.
  • Prepare for and present at all major design reviews, including internal and external reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
  • 10 years of relevant work experience with a BS degree.
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical project lead.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with digital radar and electronic countermeasure systems.
  • Extensive experience in aerospace RF/radar systems design and development.
  • Experience as a lead RF/radar subsystem/payload engineer on airborne or space programs.
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing techniques, MATLAB, and other DSP simulation tools.
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
