Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to work onsite in St. Petersburg, FL. The Systems Engineer contributes through all phases of the product development lifecycle (i.e. systems and software requirements, system architecture and design, software integration and test, simulation and test, integration and test, verification and sell-off), within an interdisciplinary process that ensures the customer and warfighters needs are satisfied through every stage. This commitment to excellence can sometimes include opportunities for travel, and flexible hours/shifts to ensure programmatic milestones are met. You will join a team of talented engineers that collaborates across disciplines from initial concepts to product sell off, integrates complex technology, debugs, and resolves interface issues, evaluates system performance, demonstrates, and sells off state-of-the-art products with the responsibility of defining the requirements, design, and architecture of subsystems that comprise the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) product line, located in St. Petersburg, Florida, as part of Advanced Networking Solutions (ANS). The U.S. Navy's CEC, a real-time 'sensor-netting' system that brings together radar data into a single integrated air picture from geographically dispersed ships, aircraft, and ground-based units. This integrated picture improves a battlegroup's effectiveness by enabling longer range, cooperative, or layered engagements.
