The Systems Engineering Integrated Systems (SE Integrated Systems) department is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer. SE Integrated Systems leads all aspects of systems engineering that drive the development of complex systems in support of the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area from our Tewksbury, MA location. The department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who collaborate as a team to architect technical solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges. This is a full-time onsite position based in Tewksbury, MA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in requirements development, decomposition, or CONOPS development/design.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of radar systems (for example - PATRIOT, LTAMDS, AN/TPY-2 and others)
  • Experience with both broad, large-scale data analysis and focused root-cause analysis
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
  • Experience with design of system level architecture
  • Experience with signal processing techniques, system control
  • Experience of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection Techniques
  • Experience interfacing with external customers
  • Experience across the product development life cycle
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, DOORS, and MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
  • Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
  • Algorithm optimization, research and development; trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system
  • Functional analysis of real world and test data
  • Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
  • Collaborate with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
