Principal Systems Engineer - Austin, TX

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will leverage your systems engineering expertise to develop complex system architectures and perform system design activities. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing system, hardware, and software requirements, conducting system-level integration and testing, and assisting in the validation of complex avionics control systems. As a systems architecture engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful technical execution of development projects and providing essential input to Systems Engineering discipline processes in support of our Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) division. The CAS division provides flight and mission-critical products to over 170 commercial and military customers globally. Our product offerings include flight control systems, full authority digital engine controls (FADEC), autonomous flight systems, power management systems, flight deck systems, control sticks, cabin management systems, and mission systems for leading commercial and military aircraft manufacturers. You will work in a collaborative environment, often in mid-size teams that are supportive and dependable, and you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid setting, balancing both co-located and geographically distributed work.
