Solar Turbines is looking for a motivated team member to work on New Product Introduction (NPI) for plant level solutions using the agile development process. This is an exciting environment with an opportunity to develop new technology and products. This specific position focuses on developing system level models, creating reliability studies and delivering on remote operation enablers related to turbomachinery power applications. Areas of focus will include but are not limited to the following: Hybrid Power Systems Supervisory & Predictive Control Optimization Machine Learning Validation Testing University Research Integration into existing systems

Requirements

• BS in Engineering
• 8+ years of industry experience
• Physics based modeling – system modeling in MATLAB, Simulink
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation/Testing
• Power Electronics experience

Nice To Haves

• A Master’s or PhD degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• PowerFactory
• Data Visualization/Analysis
• Turbomachinery subsystems & balance of plant knowledge
• Control systems knowledge
• Field or test cell experience
• Programming experience
• Great attention to detail
