About The Position

We are looking for a Principal Systems Analyst to join us! The Role As a Principal Systems Analyst, you will play a key role on a Scrum team within the Digital Platforms WI Technology organization. Working closely with the Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Scrum Leader, Software Engineers and Quality Engineers, you will help to craft, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Fidelity’s Digital experiences that are designed to delight our customers, anticipate their needs and match services or solutions to support effective decision making. You will also be expected to provide guidance and mentoring to the other Systems Analysts within the wider Digital Platforms Technology team The Team Fidelity's Workplace Investing Digital Platforms Technology team designs, develops, implements, and supports WI’s suite of Digital products and services. The Digital Platforms development team focuses on delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will support digital experience scrum teams within Stock Plan Services, an emerging equity compensation services division of Fidelity Investments.

Requirements

8+ years of systems analysis experience; a focus in financial services applications is a plus
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
An understanding of the Agile software development methodology
Ability to perform technical analysis of sophisticated Web application development concepts
Experience with web component design. Direct experience working on a web application and performing web platform analysis is required.
API, database query tools, SQL skills.
Experience with API testing, understanding APIs from a consumer standpoint.
Experience with Splunk or Datadog is required
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Robust critical thinking and analytical skills

A technical problem solver comfortable working in a sophisticated and fast-paced environment.
Ability to triage system defects in all environments
Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations

Proficiency in writing supporting documentation including product guides, business process diagrams and/or system workflows
Skilled at influencing team members and external groups
Produce and/or maintain system feature design documentation and user training and materials
Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to junior Systems Analysts
