About The Position

APT Research is hiring a System Safety Engineer to support our Starlab Space Station development S&MA contract. This position is in Houston, Texas in support of our Commercial Space Division. Applicants should have knowledge of S&MA disciplines, S&MA processes, and internal/external program interfaces and interactions. Experience with hazard report generation and hazard tracking required. Experience in preparing safety data packages that meet safety review panel criteria is required. Experience in presenting hazard reports to Safety Review Panel is highly desired. Requirements

A minimum of 15 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 13 years with a Master's Degree in science, engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, aeronautics, safety, or a closely related technical discipline
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate well with different levels of management, including presentation skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver high quality products on schedule.
Ability to resolve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
US Citizenship Required
Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance if needed
