Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is looking to add an Principal System Engineer - IFC Support to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position will be in our Systems Engineering organization. The selected candidate will work with the Systems Engineering Lead and IFC Lead to meet program milestones and manage the technical baseline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Action Oriented, Strong Attention to Detail, Communicates Effectively.
• Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation.
• Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering.
• Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance for consideration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) prior to commencement of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Current approved PAR to applicable program.
• Experience in leadership role on Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
• Experience in Cost/Schedule Integration, EVMS and CAM responsibilities.
• Experience in proposal development.
• Experience working in an agile environment (JIRA).
• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute development, integration, and test plans in accordance with program schedule and system and segment level requirements.
• Manage the project execution rhythm, coordination and reporting activities to ensure that all certification milestones are completed on time.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries and serve as a primary project Point of Contact for the project to customers and key suppliers.
• Update and release IFC Configuration Documentation and the IFC Certification Package.
• Lead the associated IPTs in preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules.
• Conduct and participate in all related design reviews.
• Serve as a technical liaison to the cross-functional team.
