Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is looking to add an Principal System Engineer - IFC Support to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position will be in our Systems Engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, Action Oriented, Strong Attention to Detail, Communicates Effectively.
  • Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation.
  • Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering.
  • Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance for consideration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) prior to commencement of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Current approved PAR to applicable program.
  • Experience in leadership role on Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
  • Experience in Cost/Schedule Integration, EVMS and CAM responsibilities.
  • Experience in proposal development.
  • Experience working in an agile environment (JIRA).
  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
  • Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Work with associated IPTs to develop and execute development, integration, and test plans in accordance with program schedule and system and segment level requirements.
  • Manage the project execution rhythm, coordination and reporting activities to ensure that all certification milestones are completed on time.
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries and serve as a primary project Point of Contact for the project to customers and key suppliers.
  • Update and release IFC Configuration Documentation and the IFC Certification Package.
  • Lead the associated IPTs in preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, conducting and participating in all related design reviews, and serving as a technical liaison to the cross-functional team.
