About The Position

Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of the commercial enterprise users and government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Business customers have contracts with agreed-upon performance standards for their broadband, and Logos will build these capabilities into the system from the beginning. Speed and reliability are the foundation of the system. Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals. Logos is led by a team of highly experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries. Position Summary You should be prepared to work and thrive in a fast-moving environment where you are comfortable taking vague requirements and direction and executing on the Logos product mission. We are seeking people who love to solve hard problems, have a bias for action and extreme task ownership. This role is to team with the senior technical leadership to develop foundational capabilities and perform core analyses that can be used by the product and system development engineering teams. This role includes both the theoretical understanding of the underpinnings of the communications networking technologies and techniques as well as the implementation challenges and solutions. The Principal Engineer will then work with the senior and junior engineers for a successful system development. Background We are seeking a technical expert with a comprehensive understanding of full-stack communication networking systems and management experience. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across the entire communication system protocol stack, from the physical layer through to application service delivery. While this role interfaces with physical-layer concepts, it is systems-focused rather than RF-centric. Instead, we value candidates who excel at modeling and analyzing complex, end-to-end communication networks. Desired Capabilities: Modeling & Simulation: Extensive hands-on experience in the modeling and simulation of advanced communication networks. End-to-End Development: Proven track record in research, rapid prototyping, and product development. Communication & Leadership: Ability to articulate complex concepts to senior stakeholders and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers. Execution: A self-motivated problem solver with a disciplined approach to timeline management and delivery.
