Sr. Principal System Administrators, internally known as Sr. Principal Analyst, infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server to include but not limited to Active Directory, Group Policy, & DNS.
  • Advanced Red Hat Enterprise Linux knowledge.
  • Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Experience with data RAID, data encryption, and data backup uses and technologies.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to solve a variety of technical problems.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Travel is required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 5% travel.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years of direct experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Windows Desktops installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Windows Server 2016+ installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Red Hat Linux 7+ installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi
  • Experience with NetApp
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with operating systems and software patching
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, communication (written and oral), collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its ecosystem, including authentication and identity services (SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS) and file sharing/integration services (Samba, NFS).
  • Expertise with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite, along with strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Perl, or C to support provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization technologies, including VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, ESXi, KVM, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp) and virtual desktop infrastructure
  • Proficiency with monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and compliance assessment tools (ACAS, Splunk, Nessus, SCAP, STIG, Nagios, SolarWinds) and working knowledge of security frameworks (CMMC, NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, DoD RMF).
