The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is seeking a strategic Principal Supervisor for our elementary schools. Principal Supervisors coach, develop, and hold accountable school principals to ensure all students, especially Black students and emergent bilingual learners, receive an excellent education. Guided by the Partnership’s 2030 Strategic Plan, Principal Supervisors build principal capacity to ensure Partnership schools deliver high-quality instruction, execute strong data cycles, foster identity-affirming school cultures, strategically use resources, and lead their instructional leadership teams (ILTs) with coherence and impact. Principal Supervisors are collaborative leaders who align and coordinate the work of Partnership support teams – including school-based instructional coaches, School Transformation Coordinators, and Instructional Coordinators – to ensure that principals receive consistent and holistic support in service of student achievement and school transformation. Principal Supervisors are responsible for advising on school-based talent strategy, operational functions, and partnering with LAUSD counterparts to identify and remove systemic barriers that impede school success. Principal Supervisors oversee up to 5 Partnership school principals and report directly to the Lead Principal Supervisor. Principal Supervisors have a direct impact on the 2030 strategic plan by leading a vision for transformative school leadership that defines a common language, competencies, and daily practices for school leaders. Principal Supervisors support the design and implementation of a system of adult learning that builds organizational, instructional, and school culture leadership, while guiding principals in developing and executing differentiated school improvement plans, especially for Black and Emergent Bilingual learners. The Principal Supervisor also serves as a key advocate for policies that remove barriers to recruiting, developing, and retaining transformative educators, and ensures funding is translated into equitable, sustainable practices at the school level. The Partnership is committed to continuously building an anti-racist culture that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in classrooms and in our home office. The Principal Supervisor, Elementary, will be someone who is committed to implementing these values in creative ways when executing day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
