Role description: The Principal Structural Engineer, with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff, will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of structural design & construction engineering to successfully execute projects in multiple market sectors including Data Centers, Retail and Living Spaces. This position is Hybrid.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience including supervision of elements of large, complex projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software.
  • Strong structural analysis and design skills (including structural software such as Staad Pro, Risa, etc.)
  • Excellent working knowledge of all building codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Understand each Data Center (DC) project that we are working on (typical 2-3 in design, 2-3 in construction)
  • Attend weekly client meetings and internal meetings as needed for each project
  • Coordinate on a regular basis with all Arcadis DC leads individually
  • Ensure continuity across all DC designs and drawings and meet regularly with DC leads together to track QAQC of drawings, calculations prior to all issues
  • Develop standard templates as appropriate for repetitive calculations
  • Proposal review and development
  • Working with DC Growth/Marketing teams
  • Occasionally serving as EOR as needed
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering and data center design
  • Travel, as needed, for project-related activities such as client meetings

  • The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $190,000.
