Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) STEM degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; 1 Year with PhD or additional years in lieu of a degree for Level 3
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) STEM degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; or 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; 4 years with a PhD; or additional years in lieu of a degree for Level 4
  • DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent
  • Candidate must be able to establish communication between network devices, interfaces, and protocols
  • Candidate must have experience with IP based radios and networks
  • Good understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
  • Identify Comms requirements, hardware, performance, and interoperability

Nice To Haves

  • A professional certification specific to the networking industry i.e. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
  • Previous experience with military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures (Viasat/GD)
  • Expert understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of network architecture
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance of the different Network IOS
  • Identify Comms requirements, hardware, performance, and interoperability
  • Work on multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Perform routine network administration tasks as needed
  • Administrate IP based radio networks
  • Interface with NGMS
