STaRS Finance is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to join our team in McKinney, Texas, to support the Harpoon product line. The Principal Finance Analyst will partner with the Program Manager, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs), and cross functional partners to provide support and successful execution of the contracts, most specifically monitoring and controlling program costs. The position will actively monitor all active contract efforts to allow the Finance Manager agility in providing oversight across the program. You will ensure all required financial inputs (including both external and internal reporting) are reviewed, analyzed, and submitted on time.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
  • Experience in interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, etc.) in program development and execution .
  • Documented experience utilizing MS Office – (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) with pivot tables, charts, creating presentations, etc.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems.

  • Experience in APEX, SAP Business Warehouse, ETC Tool (PMX and Excel tool) & PRISM.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include weekly data review & reporting, variance analysis, EVMS, and quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) development.
  • Analyst will also participate and be responsible for internal financial planning (forecasting metrics such as bookings, sales, profit, and cash) and billings.
  • You will be responsible for identification of risk and opportunities to the current forecast and program cost and/or schedule, as well as providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of multiple projects under the assigned program.
  • You will be the lead analyst guiding a junior analyst in continued process improvement, reporting efficiencies and product quality.
  • Success in this role will be dictated by one’s ability to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple conflicting priorities.
  • The lead will need to analyze and understand data quickly in order to make informed business decisions.
  • You will need to exhibit financial independence, possess high business acumen and exhibit robust analysis within the Harpoon program portfolio.
  • This role must be able to interpret and ensure implementation of Raytheon Financial Policies and Procedures to program personnel as part of their daily/weekly communications.
