About The Position

The Principal Specialist - IT SAP BPC BW4 HANA position is responsible for supporting SAP BPC Consolidation and Planning, leveraging in-depth expertise in SAP BPC and BW/4HANA. The role involves system support, analysis, and design for SAP and other IT solutions to enhance Data Extraction and Reporting processes. The candidate will utilize their analytical skills and business knowledge to implement effective solutions and provide support services to end users, while also managing system documentation and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10+ years of related experience, including 2 SAP full project life cycle implementations.
  • Experience in Financial Consolidation and Reporting Process.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP BPC 10.1 or 11, BW/4HANA, AO (Analysis for Office).
  • Expertise in SAP BPC implementation, technical/functional upgrades, and migration.
  • Working knowledge in SAP BODS, BOBJ, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Midstream Oil & Gas industry.
  • Previous experience supporting previous versions of SAP FI and SAP BPC.
  • SAP Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support SAP BPC Consolidation and Planning for users.
  • Perform system support and analysis for SAP and IT solutions.
  • Manage development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to meet goals.
  • Research production problems and make configuration changes to resolve issues.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and provide 24x7 support for SAP production systems.
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for related functional areas and technical teams.
  • Log issues and maintain status in issue tracking systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend process improvements.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed SAP functional specifications.
  • Configure SAP and develop/perform unit tests according to specifications.
  • Document business procedures, configuration changes, and training materials.
  • Develop and conduct SAP training and knowledge transfer to business clients.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX control processes.
