This position is for a Design Quality Assurance (DQA) Conformity Agent. Performs basic technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of hardware/test station conformity inspections. Provides technical support to Engineers on conformity inspection and associated processes. Assists higher level support staff to confer with Engineers on details and implications of these inspections.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with configuration management processes and tools.
  • Experience in processes pertaining to Engineering development and qualification/verification testing.
  • Experience reading and verifying hardware drawings.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain authorization for internal or customer specific conformities to sign FAA paperwork.
  • Ability to work independently and manage schedule and priorities
  • Ability to compare design data to the as-built configuration of developmental hardware
  • Ability to understand FAA requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Engineers on hardware/test station conformity.
  • Provides technical support to Engineers on conformity inspections and associated processes.
  • Plan and execute hardware and test station conformity inspections.
  • Maintains test setups and equipment.
  • Gathers and maintains documentation to support statements of conformity.
  • Collaborates with Engineering for scheduling/executing conformities to meet project needs.
  • 5-10% as needed.
