The Principal, Solutions Architect (Technical Integrations), is a critical technical resource throughout the entire client lifecycle, from initial sales engagement to post-sales integration and expansion. Serving as the first technical point of contact for clients, this role ensures a deep understanding of their technical requirements, providing expert guidance on SaaS, API, and first-party integrations. In addition to supporting new clients during the pre-sales process, the Principal also engages with existing clients when they seek to expand their product set, advising on new technical integrations and crafting customized solutions that align with their evolving needs. Collaborating closely with Business Development (sales), Business Pre-Sales Onboarding, Product teams, and CIE (Client Integration Engineering) teams, the Principal, Solutions Architect, is responsible for designing technical plans, scoping integration requirements, and ensuring a seamless handoff to CIE for implementation. The role requires expertise in solutioning and designing integrations, whether it's for new clients or existing ones requiring expanded capabilities. This position is instrumental in guiding clients through the technical aspects of our platform, ensuring that technical requirements are understood, and that integration options are clearly communicated. Whether helping prospective clients evaluate our offerings or supporting current clients in their product expansion, the Principal, Solutions Architect acts as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical concepts into actionable, client-friendly solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings, including deep technical expertise in SaaS, API, and integration solutions. They will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing technical solutions, both for new client onboarding and for expanding existing client integrations. A strong background in solutioning and scoping technical requirements, along with a solid understanding of system architectures and integration patterns, is essential. The candidate should also have experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and execution. A passion for clear communication, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment are key traits that will enable the Principal, Solutions Architect to contribute effectively to both pre-sales efforts and the seamless integration of new and expanded solutions for clients.

  • Client Technical Engagement (New & Existing Clients): Serve as the primary technical point of contact during the pre-sales process and when existing clients seek product expansion. Engage with clients to understand their integration needs and provide tailored technical solutions. Collaborate with sales teams to address technical inquiries and communicate how our platform aligns with client goals for both onboarding and product expansion.
  • Solution Design & Proposal Support (New & Existing Solutions): Work with internal teams to design and propose integration solutions for new client onboarding or the expansion of existing clients. Develop detailed technical documentation and present integration options, ensuring clarity on scope, technical requirements, and customization needs. Design technical plans and scope integration requirements for both initial client engagements and product expansion.
  • Integration Architecture Expertise (End-to-End): Provide expert guidance on the architecture and setup of integrations from initial client engagement to product expansion. Help clients understand technical landscapes, including SaaS platforms, API configurations, and custom integration needs. Ensure integration points are clearly defined and feasible within the client's scope, both for new clients and when expanding existing integrations.
  • Technical Requirements Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and integration processes to clients. Ensure clients have a clear understanding of both the initial integration and any new technical requirements tied to product expansions. Address potential challenges, resource needs, and implementation steps for successful integration.
  • Business Development & Sales Team Support: Partner with Business Development, Business Pre-Sales Onboarding, and Product teams to identify potential integration challenges early in the sales process and for new product expansions. Align technical requirements with business goals, ensuring smooth communication between sales, technical, and implementation teams.
  • Internal Team Coordination & Product Guidance: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to ensure alignment between product capabilities and client expectations. Provide valuable technical insights from client interactions to guide product development and improve future integration offerings.
  • Client Confidence & Ongoing Technical Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the initial pre-sales engagement and again when they return for product expansion. Ensure clients feel confident in the integration process and in the technical solutions provided, fostering positive client experiences.
  • Feedback Loop & Continuous Optimization: Gather client feedback during the pre-sales process and product expansion phases. Relay valuable insights to internal teams to refine integration offerings and improve the product suite. Ensure that client needs are accurately captured and communicated to optimize future solutions.
  • Smooth Handoff to Implementation & Expansion: Facilitate seamless handoff from pre-sales to implementation teams by clearly communicating all technical requirements, integration documentation, and client expectations. For product expansions, ensure the integration plan is scoped, and the implementation teams are fully equipped to handle new requirements.
  • Technical Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to integration options, process flows, and client-specific configurations. Ensure documentation is clear, accessible for internal teams, and serves as a reference for both new and expanded client integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or integration advisory role in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Proven experience in engaging with clients to design, communicate, and deliver technical solutions for SaaS, API, and first-party integrations
  • Hands-on experience with integration architecture, API design, and working with enterprise-level integration platforms.
  • Strong background in collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Business Development, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success) to ensure alignment between client needs and technical capabilities.
  • Experience in working closely with clients to translate complex technical concepts into actionable, understandable solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Familiarity with metrics and KPIs related to integration success, technical feasibility, and overall business impact, with a demonstrated ability to track and report on integration outcomes.
  • Experience working in the SaaS or technology industry, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver clear, concise, and effective presentations and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of the integration lifecycle and how technical requirements align with client business goals during the pre-sales phase.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to assess integration effectiveness, identify challenges, and optimize solutioning strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving client needs.
  • Relevant certifications in technical integration, cloud computing, or SaaS solutions (e.g., Certified Integration Specialist, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Past experience with a Retail Media platform is highly preferred.
