Stratolaunch is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to help define and mature the technical architectures that enable our hypersonic flight test and research missions. As Stratolaunch continues expanding its portfolio of flight vehicles, payload integrations, and test services for government and commercial customers, this role will serve as a key bridge between customer mission needs and Stratolaunch’s engineering capabilities. The Senior Solution Architect will lead system architecture development efforts, ensuring new solutions are technically sound, operationally feasible, and aligned with long-term program objectives. This position is essential to advancing Stratolaunch’s mission of providing reliable, repeatable access to the hypersonic environment in support of national security and technology innovation.

  • Lead architecture definition for hypersonic flight test missions and ground infrastructure.
  • Translate mission requirements into system concepts, architecture views, and interface specifications.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for integration into future Stratolaunch programs.
  • Support proposals and customer engagements by shaping technical solutions and system architectures.
  • Ensure system designs are compatible with hypersonic mission objectives, safety, and regulatory constraints.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to mature architectures through design, integration, test, and flight.
  • Serve as technical liaison with government and industry partners to align architectures with test objectives.
  • Expertise in MBSE tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, SysML), system modeling, or DoDAF frameworks.
  • Experience architecting systems supporting flight test, range operations, or rapid prototype development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
