Amazon Web Services (AWS) has an exciting opportunity for you. The Media, Entertainment, Games & Sports team is seeking an experienced and motivated technologist with a passion for creating strategies, best practices, and solving complex business challenges focusing on the Betting and Gaming industry. As a Principal Specialist Solutions Architect (SA) for Betting and Gaming at AWS, you'll be responsible for educating customers, partners, and internal stakeholders on emerging technologies and solutions that are transforming the Betting and Gaming industry in areas such as real-time wagering platforms, player engagement, responsible gaming, regulatory compliance, and advanced analytics. You get to work with sports betting operators, online casinos, lottery providers, fantasy sports platforms, and gaming technology vendors to help them build scalable, secure, and compliant solutions with the AWS cloud. You'll provide hands-on architectural guidance for real-life customer projects involving various AWS services and Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/partner solutions and collaborate with cross-Amazon teams to develop outcome-based holistic solutions for strategic opportunities in the betting and gaming industry. In this role, you'll be a content creator, a storyteller, and a presenter, building and publishing content and collateral for betting and gaming customers in one-on-one and group settings. You'll work with customers remotely and in person, sharing your expertise and insights. This role requires at least 30% travel, including international travel.
Requirements
- 8+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- 8+ years experience with betting platforms, gaming operations, player engagement systems, and analytics in the betting and gaming industry.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority, state-level US regulations).
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
- Prior hands-on experience with AWS services and solutions tailored for the betting and gaming industry, including real-time data processing, machine learning for personalization and fraud detection, and secure payment processing.
- Broad experience across multiple IT domains relevant to the betting and gaming industry, including Real-Time Wagering Platforms, Player Account Management, Responsible Gaming Solutions, Odds Compilation and Trading Systems, and Player Analytics.
- Strong business acumen to comprehend the betting and gaming industry, customer/partner challenges including regulatory complexity and market dynamics, and propose solutions to address their business problems effectively.
- Knowledge of responsible gaming frameworks, anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, and player protection mechanisms.

- Architect and deliver innovative, customer-obsessed solutions leveraging AWS services and partner offerings tailored for the betting and gaming industry, with focus on real-time processing, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Create high-quality enablement content, including guidance, blogs, demos, POCs, and presentations, to share your expertise in betting and gaming solutions.
- Deliver written and spoken communications on complex betting platform architecture, gaming operations, player analytics, and regulatory compliance subjects, establishing AWS as the public cloud of choice for organizations in the betting and gaming industry looking to accelerate innovation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other Solutions Architects working with betting and gaming customers.
