Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that align with business and technical objectives, while providing technical leadership and facilitating crucial design decisions in collaboration with Enterprise Architects and System Engineers. What you’ll do Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: Senior SD-WAN architect will design, engineer, test, and implement SD-WAN solutions based on best practice approaches to address requirements and solve problems for AT&T federal customers. Specify the Components and Their Interactions: Define high-level solutions with customers, stakeholders, and development teams. Determine primary components and subsystems, analyzing technical trade-offs. Identify interfaces and collaborations, defining higher-level functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs). Define a Shared Technical and Architectural Vision: Create a unified technical and architectural vision for the entire solution, ensuring alignment rather than focusing on specific components. Align Architectural Direction: Collaborate with portfolio stakeholders, customers, Enterprise Architects, System Engineers, and development teams to align the architectural direction. Establish Implementation Strategy and Technical Foundation: Develop an incremental implementation strategy and technical foundation for the architectural runway, preserving architectural flexibility through abstraction and generalization. Provide 24x7 Tier 3/4 troubleshooting expertise for all network event escalations (Executive, Enterprise Customer, Product Management, Service Management, Tier 2, and Account Teams Escalations). Quickly troubleshooting complex IP/MPLS network problems is a fundamental requirement, requires in-depth knowledge of IP and MPLS protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS); strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills; and the ability to represent the LCM organization on resolution and remediation issues to senior executives. Contribute high-level, strategic solutions with significant positive impact to the Operations organization. Must be a technical leader and hands-on technology expert and able to work with all the organizations responsible for developing, building, and managing the IP/MPLS network. Must be able to communicate highly technical information to Technology Operations and Customer Support organizations.
