The Taiwan Surveillance Radar Program (SRP) software team is currently seeking a Principal Software Test Engineer to work onsite in our Woburn facility. The Missile Defense Radar Software Department's mission is to provide world class Missile Defense and Surveillance Radar Software to be used in radar systems deployed on land and sea. Our software teams employ Agile Scrum and DevSecOps processes to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern computing languages and platforms. The candidate will be responsible for the design, develop, document, coordinate and execute integration, regression and qualification tests associated with new radar features.

  • Work within an agile team environment to design, develop, document, execute and coordinate testing efforts.
  • Execute integration, regression and Formal Qualification Tests as necessary for new feature development and associated software builds.
  • Assist in the updating Software Test Plans and Software Test Descriptions to test new and updated requirements.
  • Develop solutions to advance the SRP Software team's efficiency of running regression tests and creating builds.
  • Understand and manage competing priorities associated with the build plan.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience testing large, complex systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with Software Testing in a DoD environment.
  • Experience testing real-time, multi-threaded systems.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile or SAFe.
  • Experience with ClearCase, Git or other Configuration Management Systems.
  • Experience with radar data processing.
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Azure, Jenkins, Coverity and/or other agile and DevOps tools.
  • Experience with Python, Perl and/or Shell Scripting.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
