About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Software QA Engineer in the United States. This role is a senior, hands-on quality engineering position focused on ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of software products in a regulated environment. You will lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies across complex applications, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and quality teams. This position involves managing testing projects, mentoring junior testers, and driving continuous improvement through automation and risk-based approaches. You will directly influence software quality and delivery timelines, helping ensure products meet the highest standards while supporting innovation in patient-focused solutions. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in LIMS and/or Salesforce software testing with increasing responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, particularly in genomics, molecular biology, or clinical research.
  • Proven ability to translate technical requirements into robust testing strategies.
  • Knowledge of GAMP5 risk-based computerized systems validation methodology.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, data integrity frameworks, and software quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional discussions and ensure alignment.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, maintaining clear timelines and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Create, maintain, and review test plans, test cases, and supporting documentation to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for QA-related aspects of releases, coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, including automation of testing strategies and workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and data integrity standards, including GxP, CLIA, and computerized system validation.
  • Mentor and coach junior QA team members, sharing best practices and technical guidance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues, providing actionable recommendations for resolution and continuous improvement.
