About The Position

HPE's Private Cloud AI organization is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support our AI Essentials product. HPE AI Essentials is a software solution within HPE's Private Cloud AI platform designed to accelerate AI productivity and streamline AI operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop major aspects of our product: you'll be expected to take on difficult problems without clear solutions, and to design, build, and iterate until we've reached elegant solutions that delight our customers. Along the way, you'll work in a supportive and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to contribute across the stack based on your interests and experience.

Requirements

• Strong problem solving and the ability to reason through unfamiliar challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with designing, implementing, testing, and debugging scalable, reliable production-quality software.
• Experience developing/supporting tools for AI/ML practitioners and developers.
• Familiarity with API patterns and back-end frameworks and languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4 years of experience writing 'backend' applications such as REST APIs or gRPC servers using languages like Go, C++, C, Rust, Java, or Python.
• 2 years working in a Linux-like environment and basic unix/linux literacy.
• 2 years working on products that run on Kubernetes and basic Kubernetes literacy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ML tools like KubeFlow.
