About The Position

Walmart’s Gen AI powered Squiggly team is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer with expertise in React, React Native and Front-end experiences. This individual will play a pivotal role in reshaping, designing, and implementing Squiggly Experience as a platform which can be integrated, leveraged, and supported as a single stop shop for all our associate needs. This role offers significant growth prospects and reports directly to the Director of Walmart Squiggly Experiences.

Requirements

• Expertise in React, React Native technologies and mobile/web app development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience with UI automation and app deployments to App Store/Play Store.
• Knowledge of packaging front end applications into IPA or SDK.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, UI testing frameworks, and version control (Git).
• Understanding of best practices and cross app integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP is a +.
• Proven experience in building distributed systems, solving complex problems, mentoring engineering teams, develop and support large-scale projects.
• Strong background in architectural design and APP development for production environment.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a focus on mentorship and technical acumen.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strategic approach to complex challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive Innovation: Spearhead the development of innovative solutions to enhance digital experiences for Walmart associates through Squiggly platform.
• Collaborative Leadership: Mentor, develop and guide a dynamic team of engineers from design, coding and implementation standpoint, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Architect and Design: Oversee and develop architectural design of the Squiggly platform to ensure it meets business needs and technical requirements.
• Enhance Scalability: Develop scalable solutions that support the growing demands of the business and its associates.
• Integration and Deployment: Ensure seamless integration across consumers and deployment of AI capabilities within the Squiggly platform.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.
