About The Position

Enable Red Hat as a leader in the MLOps domain by serving as a leader in high impact upstream open-source communities including Kubeflow Pipelines. Architect and lead implementation of new features and solutions for OpenShift AI, primarily in the AI Pipelines component and its integrations with other components of OpenShift AI. Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Boston, MA. What You Will Do: Architect solutions to ensure non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, and maintainability are met. Architect and contribute to solutions that ensure product quality standards are met through solutions such as automated testing and CI/CD. Lead by example in creating a culture of continuous improvement by sharing recommendations and technical knowledge with team members. Collaborate with product management, other engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure proper visibility of development efforts. Create a vision and execution strategy for OpenShift AI product capabilities. Develop expert level understanding of OpenShift AI target customers and their problems. Represent OpenShift AI in external engagements including industry events, customer meetings, and open-source communities. What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have six (6) years of experience with: developing applications in Go and Python; identifying, learning, and adopting emerging technology trends; and collaborating asynchronously with a globally distributed team. Must have four (4) years of experience with: developing applications in Kubernetes and OpenShift; application lifecycle management, microservices, and Git Operations; orchestrating Machine Learning & AI workflows and pipelines, creating pipeline DAGs, metadata lineage tracking, storage solutions, and data processing; distributed storage solutions; designing and implementing CI/CD workflows; managing and coordinating Upstream Communities, organizing GitHub Processes, workflows, and releases; and coaching and mentoring junior software engineers. Must have three (3) years of experience designing robust and extensible APIs using both GRPC and REST. Must have one (1) year of experience with: leading an open-source community project; and contributing to the open source Kubeflow pipelines project. #LI-DNI The salary range for this position is $178,131 - $287,410 year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
