What you'll do... As a Principal Software Engineer for Walmart’s new Developer AI tool, Wibey, you will work with other technical leaders to architect and build the Wibey Core AI orchestration layers that enable intelligent, context-aware, and personalized developer experiences across Walmart’s global ecosystem. You’ll drive innovation at the intersection of AI systems, memory/context management, and multi-agent orchestration to help shape the future of developer productivity at scale. What you'll do: Solve complex problems in AI orchestration and context management , designing and building the core systems that connect multiple AI agents, MCP servers, and context pipelines while maintaining stateful, secure, and relevant contextual understanding across Wibey interfaces. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to define technical roadmaps, develop POCs, and author ADRs (Architectural Decision Records). Provide technical leadership and mentorship , enabling other teams to successfully integrate their agents into Wibey Core, as well as growing more junior team members. What you'll bring: Deep expertise in AI systems architecture , including multi-agent orchestration, language model interactions, context persistence, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Strong understanding of context and memory management in AI applications, including vector databases, embeddings, and session-state design. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to lead architectural discussions, mentor peers, and influence technical direction across multiple teams. Requirements

  • Deep expertise in AI systems architecture , including multi-agent orchestration, language model interactions, context persistence, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Strong understanding of context and memory management in AI applications, including vector databases, embeddings, and session-state design.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to lead architectural discussions, mentor peers, and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
