Job Overview As a Principal Engineer, you will define Zippy’s technical vision and lead cross-organizational initiatives with company-wide impact. You’ll partner with executives and cross-functional leaders to align strategy, create governance mechanisms, and deliver technical excellence that enables new business capabilities.

Requirements

Visionary systems architect with mastery across multiple domains and paradigms.
Proven track record of leading company-level technical initiatives.
Deep expertise in cloud architecture, scalability, and resilience.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills at the executive level.
12+ years of professional software development experience.
Demonstrated ability to deliver transformative technical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate company-wide technical vision and strategy.
Architect foundational platforms and set reference architectures.
Lead multi-year, multi-org initiatives with broad business impact.
Establish governance processes (e.g., tech councils, RFC standards).
Define company-wide reliability and security posture.
Partner with executives to align technical investments with company strategy.
Represent Zippy externally as a technical thought leader.
