About the team: The People Technology team drives the deployment and enhancement of enterprise-wide people technology, impacting millions of associates globally. As part of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, the team delivers robust technology solutions supporting Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience. The People.AI team focuses on building AI/ML-powered applications, including intelligent conversational interfaces that improve communication, automate tasks, and provide personalized support. This work enhances associate productivity and engagement by integrating advanced software development, architecture, and continuous integration practices to create scalable, efficient, and innovative technology solutions.

  • Lead platform engineering efforts to deliver scalable infrastructure, reusable tooling, and AI/ML frameworks aligned with strategic roadmaps.
  • Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and real-time data processing.
  • Architect intelligent software systems integrating AI agents and advanced technologies to enhance customer and associate experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting engineering excellence and standardization across teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements, measure success, and ensure solutions meet quality and business objectives.
  • Foster continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and products.
  • Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and solution design within large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Proven ability to lead platform engineering initiatives, delivering scalable infrastructure and reusable tooling aligned with strategic roadmaps.
  • Expertise in cloud-native architecture principles ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and system scalability.
  • Strong proficiency in continuous integration and deployment practices across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated skill in integrating AI/ML technologies into software products to enhance customer experiences.
  • Effective technical leadership and mentorship capabilities fostering engineering excellence and innovation.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
