About The Position

Spok is looking for a full stack software developer to lead a team of engineers responsible for the technical implementation for the modernization of our call center applications. Working closely with the Enterprise Architect toward design and implementation of common components across the entire Spok suite of products, and the integration of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. This person will develop, enhance, and innovate solutions to improve the customer experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and 8+ years’ experience
Strong experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
Strong Experience with .NET and C#
Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle
Secure coding and Identity and Access Management Experience
Experience as a tech lead/mentor to junior engineers
Experience architecting complex solutions
Experience with Agile development practices, preferably SAFe
Experience with both OnPrem and Hybrid cloud solutions

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a Healthcare/clinical environment or Call Center application
Experience with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience with XML and JSON
Experience with Oracle APEX
Understanding of Docker is a plus
C++ / MFC
JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular

Responsibilities

Participate in design, development, and architecture of new features.
Work with the product owner to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are met
Analyze existing solutions to highlight areas for improvements.
Participating in and influencing conversations during team ceremonies; backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Support the application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support). Follow established development, documentation, testing and deployment processes.
Provide development support for existing applications in the field
Assisting the team to troubleshoot and quickly resolve critical production issues
Stay current with and anticipate technology evolutions
Work cross-functionally and interdepartmentally to resolve complex customer problems.
