About The Position

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering high-impact software solutions across diverse client engagements. You will guide teams, provide strategic technical direction, and contribute hands-on to complex codebases, including AI/ML-integrated systems. This role combines deep engineering expertise with consulting acumen, allowing you to influence technical decisions, optimize scalable architectures, and mentor engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems, ensure quality, and drive innovation. The position offers exposure to a broad range of technologies, from full-stack development to infrastructure, and supports remote work flexibility in a distributed environment. Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record leading high-stakes projects and delivering production-grade software.
• Expertise in multiple languages and frameworks, including Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Ruby, Scala, R, SQL, and Go.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML-powered features into software systems.
• Deep knowledge of architecture, scalability, reliability, performance optimization, and secure engineering practices.
• Strong consulting and client-facing experience, able to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Experience mentoring and supporting engineering teams at scale, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and providing guidance across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, DevOps, MLOps, Infrastructure as Code, and data engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for large-scale software engagements, ensuring maintainable, scalable, and secure solutions.
• Guide project teams through complex development cycles, balancing technical choices with business and product needs.
• Collaborate on systems across the full ML lifecycle, from data ingestion and preprocessing to deployment, integration, and monitoring.
• Provide mentorship, knowledge transfer, and technical guidance to client and internal engineering teams.
• Drive innovation by surfacing new technical approaches and product solutions.
• Facilitate retrospectives, strategy sessions, and technical deep-dives to improve team outcomes.
• Manage high-level technical roadmaps, dependencies, and risks while ensuring delivery of project objectives.
