About the position

Do you have a passion for Software Testing, Application Security and Test Automation? As a Principal Software Engineer in Test, you blend extensive technical experience in test automation with business domain knowledge and data analysis. The ideal candidate would be proficient in operating systems, networks, and programming languages with a focus on cybersecurity testing. In an agile structure, you will partner with Squad Leads to implement test automation and execute manual testing to increase efficiencies in testing and support the squad in building highly stable applications that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of technologists to promote testing practices, implement test automation, and execute testing with development and business partners.
  • Review test strategies with stakeholders and ensure that all types of testing like unit, functional, performance, acceptance, etc. are covered.
  • Develop and maintain automated suites/Frameworks of tests to assess product quality and release readiness.
  • Develop Automation Framework related to application Security.
  • Conduct Vulnerability assessment for applications in the organization.
  • Find security vulnerabilities in source code.
  • Train squads on test management.
  • Conduct manual testing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software.
  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with cybersecurity testing.
  • Familiar with security threats and trends for the financial industry.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing the overall program test plan with stakeholders based on evolving schedules and timelines.
  • Experience testing for locally hosted vendor applications.
  • Experience reporting on the test progress, product quality status, and overall test results to initiative stakeholders.
  • Financial services and Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential is a plus but not required.
