About The Position

HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to support a complex national security program. The role involves new design and prototyping within a fast-paced Agile team focused on Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT). The Principal Software Engineer will analyze user requirements to derive software design, debug existing software, design and code new features, and integrate software into new or modified systems. This position will also involve developing data queries, writing system documentation, and implementing algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.

Requirements

• Must have an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Must have Java development experience.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Git, Linux, Jira, Confluence, and Eclipse.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with React or similar libraries (e.g., Vue, Angular).
• Experience in complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
• Ability to lead technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to ensure quality control of developed and modified software.

Responsibilities
