The Ecosystem Engineering team provides seamless help to our partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional experience for all Crunchyroll fans. As a Partner Engineer, you'll lead deployments, optimize implementations, and handle integrations to build successful, long-term partnerships. You will own technical engagements and be the key driver in finding creative/innovative solutions that lead Crunchyroll's experiences to the next level. You will lead projects that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Program management, and Marketing. You'll play a key role in improving existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment. You will lead and develop prototypes and MVP for testing and deployment of new systems. In the role of Principal Software Engineer, you will report to the Senior Director, Ecosystem Engineering Group.

  • Lead deployments and optimize implementations for partner integrations.
  • Own technical engagements and drive innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing teams.
  • Improve existing operations and define new solutions.
  • Bridge product gaps and automate partner operations.
  • Take new initiatives from conception to successful deployment.
  • Lead and develop prototypes and MVP for testing and deployment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15+ years of experience working with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and Pay TV Operators.
  • 15+ years of experience in building complex systems in collaboration with partners.
  • Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, Node, NPM, HTML 5, React, and Websockets.
  • Experience with C/C++, client-side Java, systems, and Python.
  • Experience with Client/Server and scalable technologies.
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technical partners.
  • Previous exposure with integrating payment systems.
  • Platform experience with AndroidTV, AppleTV, ChromeOS, or WebOS.
