About The Position

The Azure Storage Developer Experience team builds and maintains the client-side tools and Software Development Kits (SDKs) that allow our customers to easily access their data in Azure Storage. We are looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer to help architect the core of our next generation tools and SDKs. As a Principal Software Engineer- Azure Storage you will work closely with teams throughout the organization to influence the next generation backend interfaces and client-side tools and SDKs, allowing customers to experience significantly increased throughput and reduced latency when accessing and creating data in storage. This is a great opportunity to become involved in a high-impact project from the beginning, work with talented coworkers, and influence the future of object store in Azure.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software engineer, particularly in SDK development.
• Strong understanding of Azure Storage services and architecture.
• Experience with backend interface design and implementation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with high-performance computing and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• Previous experience in a principal or lead engineering role.
