Fidelity Institutional is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our Integration Solutions product area, focusing on one of the top initiatives for Fidelity Brokerage Technology. This role is pivotal in driving greater delivery, efficiency, and quality within the Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions (FCCS) chapter. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a globally distributed team of IT professionals, striving to advance engineering excellence, technology innovation, and agile practices. As a self-starter, you will be responsible for communicating software changes to business partners, system analysts, QA engineers, and others involved in the project lifecycle. In this role, you will focus on the design and development of Fidelity Institutional products and services platform. You will collaborate with project managers, systems analysts, offshore resources, tech leads, quality assurance, and architects to build solutions that meet critical business needs. Your problem-solving skills will be essential as you translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications. You will also be expected to maintain code quality, security, organization, and automation while adhering to engineering best practices and participating in design and code reviews. The position requires a strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. You will leverage your extensive experience in development, particularly with Java, Spring/SpringBoot, Angular TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Additionally, your knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, and cloud services will be crucial in driving the success of our initiatives. You will engage with a distributed team of developers, leading standard practices for software engineering and ensuring that our solutions are scalable and aligned with business requirements.
