About The Position

Zscaler is looking for an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering, you will develop and manage shared infrastructure automation for US federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments. You will improve the security of CI/CD systems and automate change management processes. Additionally, you will define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures across the engineering team, automate the build-out of new Zscaler clouds, and create delivery mechanisms for operational collateral. Participation in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform and ensure compliance with federal guidelines is also expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of commercial services development experience.
• 5+ years of public cloud experience (AWS or GCP or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and programming languages like Go, Java.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patching, and reporting.
• Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and both relational and non-relational databases for microservices.
