Requirements

• Experience with distributed systems and design of major features.
• Experience launching features into production and operating high-scale services.
• Ability to drive projects and tasks independently.
• Experience with services that require data to travel long distances while adhering to compliance and regulations.
• Strong technical skills with a focus on high availability, scalability, and redundancy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in e-commerce transactions.
• Familiarity with cloud-scale back-end distributed services.
• Ability to automate and instrument processes for better data insights.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and drive successful business outcomes for the marketplace platform.
• Be a technical lead on a team of software engineers working to design, build, grow and operate services.
• Drive tactical execution of features and projects, and own feature design.
• Mentor engineers in a start-up style environment.
• Design complex software systems and write code across the entire stack.
• Instill a culture of operational excellence and proactive problem-solving.
