About The Position

The Principal Software Developer at Mechanics Bank is responsible for providing technical guidance to development teams and overseeing the technical aspects of projects. This role involves leading an agile team to produce quality software using technologies such as C#, .NET, Angular, JavaScript, and SQL. The position includes participation in requirements gathering, design, architecture, and coding of both new and existing applications, with a focus on improving functionality and ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

• 5 years of Angular Development and Application Architecture experience required.
• Hands-on experience developing responsive web applications.
• Strong foundation in C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, RESTful Web Services, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of software methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Nice To Haves

• Performance and/or security testing experience.
• Automated testing with Selenium or other functional testing experience.
• Unit and Regression Testing experience.
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps.
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Bootstrap and HTML5 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and lead project teams.
• Recommend adjustments to resolve software issues and improve functionality of existing software.
• Mentor, guide, and train other Developers.
• Develop and implement tools/systems to increase efficiency.
• Create and consume RESTful web services using JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Web API, LINQ, and ASP.NET Core.
• Participate in Agile processes including standups, iteration meetings, and ticket updates.
• Stay up to date on current technologies and provide recommendations.
• Support team members, perform code reviews, and guide junior developers.
• May supervise more junior Software Developers.
