About The Position

At Validus, we help our clients to understand and manage their financial risks and financing needs through hands-on advice, transaction execution and award-winning technology. Our clients include some of the largest and most respected fund managers in private equity, credit, infrastructure and real estate, as well as large institutions and corporates. Business Development & Client Coverage (BDCC) has primary responsibility for retaining clients and growing the firm’s revenue. The team lead sales and marketing during the business origination phase, and ensures every existing client receives the best possible service. The role focuses on the Client Coverage team within the broader BDCC structure. The primary responsibility is ensuring the highest quality service is delivered to existing clients and opportunities to grow and expand with clients are identified and executed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the FX / IR market is preferred, but candidates with experience in investment banking, fund finance and alternative investment funds will also be considered
  • Knowledge of Alternative Investment Funds
  • Ability to build relationships with senior decision makers internally and externally
  • Strong organizational and client coverage ability to ensure clients receive the highest level of service
  • Excellent time and project management skills, ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail
  • Strong numerical skills as well as an analytical mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • CFA or CAIA certification
  • Existing network across private capital managers

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the highest quality service is received by existing clients
  • Coordinating across the Validus coverage team (e.g., Global Capital Markets, Technology, Operations) to deliver on agreed services
  • Tracking and delivering on any ongoing reporting or periodic reviews agreed with clients
  • Responding to and resolving any issues raised by clients
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross sell other product lines to prospective clients (e.g., Fund Finance Advisory + Operations, Horizon Tech suite)
  • Attending client, industry & networking events, leveraging the existing Validus relationships and your personal network to drive business development efforts for new and existing clients
  • The role may require some travel.
