About The Position

Amazon Stores Security - Security & Regulatory Compliance (SRC) is responsible for maintaining global regulatory compliance for all Amazon Stores, Devices, and Others, including payment and healthcare compliance. Additionally, SRC works to identify, analyze, and mitigate security risk identified through various compliance activities, pentesting, and other sources. The team is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Principal Technical Program Manager with a background in security compliance who will help identify, analyze, and prioritize security risk identified through a variety of sources across Amazon. This work will help drive leadership prioritization and reduced security and compliance risk.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 3+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and be accountable for security programs and/or projects to reduce security and compliance risk.
  • Work across various stakeholders to identify and evaluate customer needs and solutions.
  • Lead various security compliance activities in order for Amazon to achieve and maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standard requirements.
  • Continuously prioritize risk for service teams, security teams, and executive leadership.
  • Work with security engineers and others to develop technical risk mitigation strategies and approaches.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Integrate into various enterprise risk management processes.
