The Partnership is a non-profit, in-district partner to LA Unified, not a charter network. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Partnership serves 13,500 students across 20 LA Unified schools in Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts. The Partnership works within the District context, which includes honoring all collective bargaining agreements for its teachers and school staff. In the Partnership network, we aim to foster schools where students experience joy as they learn and grow, where students develop a positive sense of their identity, where student voices are empowered, where culturally responsive pedagogy and practice is enacted, and where students and families see the school as a liberative force within the community. Partnership schools build strong systems, which allow strong student academic growth and school culture to thrive. Partnership network principals are responsible for meeting all obligations as described in the LA Unified School Leadership Framework, including building a culture of learning and growth, overseeing classroom instruction, managing school operations, engaging families and community, and owning the growth and development of adults in the school community. Our principals are all part of a professional learning community that emphasizes instructional leadership and cross‐school learning. Leading a school in the Partnership network means that our principals and their staff have access to our robust team of support‐providers in areas from Literacy and Math instruction to school budgets and teacher recruitment. You can learn more about our teams here!BENEFITS OF JOINING THE PARTNERSHIP NETWORK:Partnership principals belong to a tightly‐knit network of transformative administrators who desire to learn from one another. All of our principals report to an experienced school transformation leader who supervises and coaches 4‐6 principals, ensuring meaningful guidance and individualized support. Partnership schools are LA Unified schools, and our administrators earn the same competitive pay, benefits and Associated Administrators of Los Angeles (AALA) membership as in any District school. There are additional opportunities for Partnership school leaders as well. Partnership principals have higher earning potential than those in most LA Unified schools, as our principals are paid to work the year‐round calendar and may be recognized and rewarded for their impact and tenure. We offer an additional signing bonus for administrators who join our network with significant prior principal experience and proven impact with students.CONTINUED BENEFITS OF JOINING THE PARTNERSHIP NETWORK:ABOUT YOU You have a deep belief in the power of the Boyle Heights community, and have love for the students and families we serve, who are primarily Latinx and Black/African American You believe in the Partnership’s mission and core values of courage, creativity, collective action, and continuous improvement You are committed to ambitious growth in academic achievement for all students, and understand the systems needed at the school level to drive improvement in teaching and learning You foster an anti‐racist culture that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for students and adults You communicate frequently and openly with stakeholders You believe that all people can learn, grow, and adapt to new circumstances, yourself included You possess an unmatched work ethic and the highest level of integrity You seek to continuously improve your leadership practice through peer collaboration and reflection You are relentless in your pursuit of excellence for yourself, your students, and colleagues
