Principal Scientist/Director provides strategic development and implementation of cutting-edge mathematical and economic models to enhance understanding of diseases, quantify outcomes, and communicate the value of our company products to patients, providers, payers, and policymakers. This role offers strategic and technical leadership, utilizing model-based scientific and business insights across all phases of drug and vaccine development. Additionally, the scientist serves as the Health Economic and Decision Sciences (HEDS) lead for one or more value evidence teams. These teams are responsible for generating evidence, including the development of health economic, disease, and other mathematical models to enable business and scientific insights for vaccines aimed at preventing infectious diseases.

  • Masters in a quantitatively oriented discipline such as health economics, mathematical epidemiology, applied mathematics, operations research, public health, and statistics
  • Experience in the design and development of health economic modeling approaches to enable internal and external decisions
  • Experience in the design and analysis of mathematical models of infectious diseases and vaccination
  • Experience managing research teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently and effectively interact with a broad group of stakeholders
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Strong record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals
